Duplicate Detective: Cleaner App Reviews

I can’t believe that I waited for 3 hours for this piece of junk to go through my music library, and only found 7 duplicates. I have at least 15,000 duplicate songs. Dont waste your money on this junk.

Simply the best duplicate file finder app that I’ve used. The design is simple and logically laid out and within about 2 minutes of opening the app, I had scanned a large part of my computer and selected about 13GB worth of duplicates that I didn’t know were adding up to that size. Nevertheless, ended up saving 13GB (12.8GB to be precise) in a couple of minutes, giving my slightly ageing Mac a new lease of life and space.

Helped me save 10gb of disk space by finding over 500 duplicate files on my system.

After sorting out the bug concerning the crashes with large files such as iPhoto I can only say……fantastic. I bought this ap really to clean up my iPhoto library and was of course disappointed initially. Well done FIPLAB for sorting the problem and so quickly. No hesitation in recommending this great, simple to use ap! One tip, run the ap on its own if cleaning very large files. Its VERY ram hungry!

Three minor irritations: 1) The first screen prompts you to sign up - unnecessary 2) The indexing process is surprisingly slow even on a very fast, recent Mac 3) Be sure to have administrator privileges when reviewing your hard disk! Avec une interface facile et conviviale, cette appli fait exactement ce qu’on attend d’elle. J’ai rencontré 3 petits énervements : 1) Pourquoi faut-il s’abonner dès la page d’accueil à une newsletter ? 2) Le processus d’indexation est lent et ce avec un nouveau Mac rapide 3) Les doublons sur le DD nécessitent le compte administrateur

It looks to be working quite well There is just a problem with Garage and Logic loops You could also add a search field : exclude … folder, exclude xxxx extension …..
